Thin polymer films and polymer adsorption
Project Manager
Project Description
Polymer adsorption and film formation are important processes at solid interfaces, which have many practical applications. In our research we study polymer adsorption primarily by means of well-defined model systems. One current research field is the adsorption of poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers to electrodes under potentiostatic control. An important question is to which extent the adsorption of PAMAM dendrimers can be described in the framework of the random sequential adsorption (RSA-) model including the influence of the substrate (three-body RSA). We are also interested in the adsorption of polysaccharides as model systems for biofilm formation.
